Fake-A-UFO Video app for iPhone and iPad
Have you ever wanted to prank your friends with a UFO video? Well now you can! Fake-A-UFO Video uses your camera and "Augmented Realty" to take a video and adds a UFO straight into it!
So go ahead and do a little recording of your Mom at the park, drop your jaw, give her a "holy cow" as your eyes open wide. Stop the video, run over and "prove" to Mom that there was a UFO flying around behind her as you were recording by playing the video back to her.
Automated Mode has the UFO flying around under its own accord, you just have to follow it around then double tap to send it off into space and save the video.
In Manual Mode you direct the UFO around the screen as you record the video. A double tap sends it off into space and saves your video.
You can try "Filter" mode which puts a small colour matching haze over your entire scene so the UFO blends easily into the video, getting rid of any "fake-ness" in the video.
You have a choice of 2 UFOs, one thats a "bright light" and the other thats actually a ship. After you do your recording, play it back and play with some of the settings if you like before you output it to your camera roll. So dont worry if you have the wrong UFO or you discover the "filter" mode looks better on or off, change it quick and easy after your stop the recording.
This is NOT just a photo editing program, in fact its not a photo editing program at all. WHILE you are recording VIDEO, you can put a UFO into the scene and just carry on as normal.

Some bad moments
Ok... Soo... It isnt verry realistic to begin with... Second I think it should have a resize effect where you can make it look farther away... And also a blur effect for the UFO only so that it looks far and blurry... Pce to you ;)

I was skeptical but I did it to a buddy of mine while we were sailing and he TOTALLY bought it. I mean - he was "for real? Come on! Get out!". He was really taken back.

Ive got two young boys… out at the cottage I played a little trick on them with the app. For the rest of the weekend they were on the constant lookout for UFO. They kept swearing they saw them all the time. Classic!
It is an amazing app. Worth buying for sure. It does need more UFO aircraft though, and motion blur would be nice. To fly off the screen is not too amazing though. I would add a fade out effect and/or a super-sonic zoom out into another dimension. I would also try too make a hover or spin effect on the UFO.

This app is easy to use and does a pretty good job of doing what it claims to do. My only complaint is that when the UFO goes off screen there is a constant bright glow, which would look better if it glowed and then faded away as someone else mentioned here.
Having the UFO "zip away" is also a good idea. That would look awesome in combination with a glow as it leaves the edge of the screen and then fades away. And yes, as others have said, it would be nice to have more UFO options including blurring, transparency, and more available models.
Honestly though, those arent really complaints. The app is pretty fun as it is, its just always nice to be able to do more. :-)
